The School Chapel constructed few years ago, has been a haven of rest for Trinitarians. It is a witness of how God is faithful to the school. Buckets of tears poured forth, a vessel of praise and adoration for all the blessing received; a place of solace for lost and wandering souls and a sanctuary to look upon God and simply behold His goodness.

It is in the highs and lows of life that we get to experience God’s outpouring grace and mercy upon us. It is during this time that we feel God’s intimate presence surrounding us with His love.

Trinity Christian School has never been exempted by test of fires and storms. Along its journey as a school whose motto is to Seek Excellence for God’s glory, the school always try to edify God in all of its endeavors.

One conscious effort to maintain this relationship with God is its regular chapel hour for all Trinitarians. Before this pandemic and where there was still a regular school, students attended a weekly chapel hour where there was a regular soaking of God’s word and prayer and fellowship with one another.

Students also belong to a small care group where they are nurtured with God’s word.

The pandemic did not deter the enthusiasm and fire of the Trinitarians to keep on with their relationship with the Lord. Via Google Meet, weekly chapel hours are still very much alive. Teachers and staff have their Devotional/Chapel hours.

We are bombarded by all the negativities the pandemic has brought us. Almost all of us feel anxious, restless and afraid. We fear for the unknown that has hold us captive for some time now and we find ourselves asking whether there is still a future for us.

But looking deeply, we also need to acknowledge that this pandemic has brought us closer to the Lord. Often God allows us to experience restlessness to get our attention. It draws us to Him in our desperation to find peace.

“And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness” … Therefore, I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Yes, there is a God who is mightier than this pandemic and His loving presence continues to manifest in the lives of all Trinitarians. He has been faithful to all.

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirst for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary beholding your power and your glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long a I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.” Psalm 63:1-4
