We welcome year 2023 full of optimism – that what lies ahead of us are experiences that will help us grow more in the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord. We welcome all the blessings that God will shower to us as we cling closely to Him.

The Lord is always faithful to His promises and we can trust Him to keep His promises to us. You crown the year with your bounty; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance, Psalm 65:11. We can lean on the promises of God as always.

Philippians 4:19, He has promised to supply our needs from His glorious riches which has been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Our God is a miracle worker. Let us marvel on how He can answer even our unspoken prayers. He looks through our hearts and sees that we need His fresh supply of grace every day.

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him now while He is near, Isaiah 55: 6. God loves to work on us. He wants us to discover more of Him that we may be transformed individuals.

We may wonder what lies ahead of us, but if we are in the presence of God we can be rest assured that our future is safe with Him.

This New Year also allows us to shift to a new perspective in life.

The past year may have been full of discouragements, heartaches and all the not-so-good-things but life has taken us this far that this year promises a lot of beautiful things to us as long as we also strive to improve our selves.

Let us forgive. Bygones are bygones and let us not hurdle any bitterness, resentment and anger in our hearts. It is time to let go of all these negativities that we have allowed to rent free in our minds.

This year is a year of healing and letting and go and moving on.

Ephesians 4:31-32 – let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgive you.

Let us appreciate our work – that we have every reason to wake up each day and be good stewards of the responsibilities entrusted to us.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 – Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Let us be a loving member of our family, to pray for them, bless them, share our blessings to them and be there for them in times of need.

Above all, let us be committed to become a better version of ourselves, to look forward to be a blessing to one another. We can only do this if we embrace God in all areas of our lives.
