“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” Deuteronomy 7:9

This year Trinity Christian School turns 47 years old. This annual milestone symbolizes the relentless passion and initiative of the school to provide quality Christian instructional service to all students that will lead them to the knowledge of truth that is Jesus Christ. With so much appreciation and expectation in our hearts, we look forward to the future with a strong determination grounded on the school’s mission that the best is yet to come.

The celebration will open with a worship service at the school’s chapel on October 22 and the days that will follow will be celebrated with sports tournament in many different forms.

The Zumbathon, a fund-raising activity sponsored by Batch 98 last October 14 was a successful one with 1140 registered participants. This activity was part of the celebration of the Founding anniversary of the school.

This year’s celebration may not be that grand and festive, but what matters most is what the school has become and has achieved all throughout these years.

History tells us that TCS started from humble beginnings with 70 kindergarten pupils as its first graduates. Years passed by and the population grew with the additions of the grade school and eventually the high school department. The school went through a lot of challenges. Pre pandemic days, the population went beyond a thousand which challenged the school’s Board of Trustees to add more facilities to cater to the growing population and to add more facilities to the school.

The institution applied for accreditation and was granted with level 2 for all levels. The school has produced outstanding alumni who are successful in their own field of endeavours. Trinitarians have joined local, national and international competitions in sports and academics and has won numerous awards and citations.

The school has adopted several outreach communities as a way of strengthening the connection between a student’s education and the world they live in. In its own special way, it has blessed many organizations and numerous individuals by sharing its blessings. These outreach programs have opened the eyes and hearts of Trinitarians to share their blessings and to be givers.

In many ways, the school has grown by leaps through the experiences that it faces year after year. These challenges has taught the institution to become stronger and pliable just like the bamboo tree – allowing for change, compromise and adaptation, and while it bends with the winds, the school is unperturbed by the winds of change because its roots go down deep, and its foundation is the Lord Jesus Christ.

During the Covid pandemic, the school has gone through a lot with the decreased enrolment. But God is good because, the school is slowly but surely picking up the pieces and more students have returned and there are newcomers along the way.

They say, its not the end that matters but it’s the journey that counts the most.

And so as the school celebrates its 47 years of existence we stand with humble hearts to God our maker for His faithfulness towards the school. The institution has grown so much not only in number but in wisdom and stature. Every challenge is an opportunity to kneel and look up to God for guidance and protection.

We stand in awe of God’s faithfulness to the institution and we look forward to  more opportunities to serve Him through this education ministry.
