As part of the three Trinitarian Christmas traditions: worship, fellowship, and outreach, senior high school students and teachers completed the custom by distributing an estimated 100 grocery packs to Sakadas working in the fields along Murcia on December 20, 2024.

This initiative is an annual activity that aims to bless the “Sakadas” (sugar cane workers) and their families.

It is a considerate act of gratitude for their dedication to the agricultural fields despite the harsh weather conditions.

Along the journey, they made stops and handed out their carefully prepared grocery packs and donated clothes, shared the Word of God, and offered prayers to the Sakadas they came across.

Senior high school teacher, Sir Jeremie Repogio shared his perspective on the initiative saying, “Giving is more meaningful because the Bible says, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive,’ and there is joy when you give, especially to a person who cannot pay you back.”

This act of generosity is a treasured tradition that the Trinitarians faithfully carry out every December, and may it serve as a reminder to all that the joy of giving is what makes Christmas truly special.
