In a world where children are surrounded by powerful influences competing for their hearts and minds, parents at Bacolod Trinity Christian School were challenged to stand firm in their God-given role. On July 18, they gathered at the school’s Uy Sun Soon Teck Hall for a parenting seminar themed “Winning the Battle for Our Children in Today’s World,” led by missionary pastor David Hinchey.

The seminar emphasized the importance of raising children according to biblical truth amid modern cultural challenges, highlighting discipleship as the highest priority over worldly success.

The sessions tackled topics including biblical perspectives on homosexuality and abortion, the dangers of excessive technology use, and the influence of culture on children’s values.

Parents were encouraged to be intentional in guiding their children toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to reflect on what is shaping their children’s hearts the most.
