When the fire alarm rang, students and teachers from elementary to high school promptly evacuated their classrooms and proceeded to the Grace Activity Center in an orderly manner. The coordinated evacuation marked the school’s fire drill on August 5, conducted under the supervision of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to reinforce the school community’s preparedness and response in the event of a fire.
The activity also featured a brief instructional session led by BFP fire officers, who emphasized the importance of fire safety and demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers.
Following the briefing, representatives from each grade level and department volunteered to take part in the BFP’s demonstration of fire suppression techniques. The participants were given the opportunity to apply the knowledge and procedures discussed during the instruction.
The successful conduct of the fire drill highlighted the school’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its students and personnel. More importantly, the exercise strengthened the school community’s readiness to respond calmly, efficiently, and appropriately during emergencies and other calamities.
